
Regent University Celebrates the 2025 Year in Review
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va (Dec. 26, 2025) – In 2025, Regent University experienced a year of historic growth and achievement made possible by God’s provision and your faithful prayers and support. Marked by innovative new initiatives and distinguished recognition, the following highlights from 2025 reflect how Regent continues to equip Christian leaders to change the world:
- Record-Breaking Enrollment Growth: Regent University enrolled nearly 14,000 students in the 2024-25 academic year – the largest enrollment in Regent history. In Fall 2025, Regent also welcomed its largest freshman class and largest on-campus student body.
- Groundbreaking for Athletic & Fitness Center: Regent University broke ground on a new 31-acre sports complex including world-class facilities for basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, soccer, tennis, track & field, and more.
- New Degree Programs: Regent University announced eight new degree programs including:

4. Bachelor of Arts in Journalism
5. Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television
6. Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Culture
7. Master of Arts in Film and Media Culture
8. Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Technology & Artificial Intelligence
- #1 Christian College in Virginia: Regent University earned distinguished recognition in the Niche 2025 Best Colleges Rankings, placing as the #1 Christian college in Virginia and for #1 college dorms in Virginia.
- Regent Law on the Rise: Regent University School of Law reached a historic milestone in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025-26 law school rankings, breaking into the top 100 law schools for the first time and becoming the fastest-rising law school in America. Regent Law achieved the highest first-time bar passage rate in Virginia. Regent Law was ranked 1st (tied) for human rights law (preLaw Magazine) and #2 law school in America for professors accessibility (The Princeton Review).
- Regent Confers Nearly 2,300 Degrees to Class of 2025: Nearly 2,300 graduates received degrees at Commencement on May 10, 2025. Virginia Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears was the keynote speaker.
- #1 in Virginia for 13 Years: U.S. News & World Report ranked Regent the #1 Online Bachelor’s in Virginia – for the 13th year in a row.
- Christmas Village: The CBN & Regent University Christmas Village welcomed over 50,000 guests to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.
- The Honors College: The Regent University Honors College earned the Hidden Gems designation by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni for its outstanding interdisciplinary education, exceptional faculty, and commitment to spiritual and academic excellence.
- Singer Center for Advocacy: Regent University announced the establishment of the Singer Center for Advocacy at Regent Law, designed to serve as a hub for cultivating the next generation of advocates.
- Executive Leadership Series: Regent University hosted the Executive Leadership Series, one of the most respected leadership forums in Virginia.
- Ernie Walton Appointed Dean of Regent Law: S. Ernie Walton, J.D., a distinguished Regent University alumnus and longtime administrator and faculty member, was named Dean of the Regent University School of Law.
- Honoring John Ashcroft: Regent University honored former Attorney General John D. Ashcroft for 20 years of faithful service as a Distinguished Professor of Law and Government.
- Tim Tebow Speaks at Regent: Regent University hosted a Night of Giving: Sports Spectacular, featuring legendary athlete and best-selling author Tim Tebow as the keynote speaker.
- New Guitar Studio: Regent University School of Communication & the Arts announced the launch of its new Taylor Guitar Studio to support its growing Worship Leadership programs.
- Regent Students Help Communities in Crisis: Hundreds of Regent University freshmen volunteered with Operation Blessing to support disaster relief and hunger relief efforts across the country.
