James Wheeler, J.D.

Bio

James Wheeler serves as Assistant Librarian for Electronic Resources & Digital Initiatives at Regent University School of Law. Wheeler received his Juris Doctorate Summa Cum Laude from Regent University School of Law in 2015. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from American Public University, where he graduated with honors. Wheeler recently completed a clerkship with the Honorable Glen Huff of the Court of Appeals of Virginia. He also served as law clerk for the Alaska Superior Court. Wheeler began his legal career at the age of 18 with his election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives, where he served for two consecutive terms on the Judiciary Committee.

Notable accomplishments:

  • Wheeler holds the record as the youngest person ever elected – at the time of the election – to the New Hampshire House of Representatives, where he served for two consecutive 2-year terms.
  • Wheeler graduated second in his class at Regent University School of Law and amassed 10 book awards in 2 years.
  • Wheeler has guest-lectured in 1L property class, conducting practical demonstrations of recording systems.
