Grants

A grant is a form of financial aid given to an eligible student that does not to be repaid. Regent University participates in several need-based federal and state-funded gratnt programs. Below are the grant programs that Regent University students are eligible to apply for. Please note that not all students are eligible for these grant programs. Pell Grant (Undergraduate Students Only)
The Federal Pell Grant is awarded to undergraduate students who have not previously earned a bachelor's or professional degree. The size of the award is based on the student's Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and their enrollment status. Undergraduate students that are enrolled full time (12 or more hours per semester) can expect to receive 100% of their total Pell award. Students enrolled less than full time will receive a prorated award based on their enrollment status.

Academic Competiveness Grant (Undergraduate Students Only)
The Academic Competitiveness Grant provides eligible students with additional grant money. In addition to Federal Pell eligibility requirements, students who have excelled academically.

TEACH Grant
The TEACH Grant is a new program developed to assist students who are entering into the field of teaching. To determine if you would be eligible for this grant, click on the title above.

Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant (VTAG)
The Commonwealth of Virginia has provided a grant that is available to all Virginia residents and attend private institutions in the Commonwealth. Click on the title above to read additional information about this grant and determine if you are eligible.

Virginia College Scholarship Assistance Program (CSAP)
The Commonwealth of Virginia has provided a grant that is available to Virginia residents that have financial need based on the student's computed Expected Family Contribution (EFC). This award is for undergraduate students only. To determine if you are eligible for this grant, click on the title above.

Higher Education Tuition Assistance Program (HETAP)
The Commonwealth of Virginia has provided a grant that is available to Virginia residents that plan to pursue a career in education in the state of Virginia. This award is for undergraduate students only. To determine if you are eligible for this grant, click on the title above.
