Blackboard Certification Program
Blackboard is an Internet-based communication platform, which provides students with an online learning community. Below are the courses we offer on Blackboard.
Regent Blackboard Certification
Join the 400+ full-time faculty, part-time faculty, and staff members who have completed Blackboard Certification. Participants learn the basic components of elearning, best practices for building an online course, and how to build a course in Blackboard. Activities will contribute to the quality of an actual course. Work at your own pace and receive a certificate of completion at the end of the four weeks.
Please register on or before the date of the course. The Regent Training System (or RTS) automatically deletes the synchronous and asynchronous courses listed as the calendar progresses, so if the course started yesterday, the course won't be in the RTS today. This course is available to all faculty and staff.
After completing the Blackboard Certification Course graduates are encouraged to obtain the Regent Online Instructional Design Certificate.
Blackboard Content System (1.5 Hours)
The Blackboard Content System will be used to collect and store all of the documents for SACS accreditation. This software allows for collaboration on documents and keeps track of all versions so that you are never confused about which is the final draft. A search engine is built in so that you can easily search for any document. Students will learn how to add items to the content system, add content system files to their Blackboard courses, and add multiple files to the content system at one time.
