Is Regent fully Accredited?

Yes, Regent is fully accredited for online and on campus classes. We are accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. For more information please click here.

When are applications due?

New sessions start every eight weeks at Regent University. Applications are due two weeks prior to the start of each session. Your decision and enrollment deposit are due two weeks prior to the start of class.  Read more about specific information regarding application deadlines.

How much is tuition?

For the current academic year (2006-2007), the tuition rate is $11,850 for full-time students and $5,925 for part-time students. Tuition is different for early college students, certificate programs, and professional development. Get more information on tuition and fees.

Do I need a computer?

Since Regent University makes use of computer software and the internet to communicate with students and enhance its courses, all students are expected to have a computer. All students who use personal computers or laptops must meet the minimum standards regarding hardware, software, and Internet access.

How do I attend class online?

Online courses are available through Blackboard, Regent's web-based classroom. Students access Blackboard through a web browser, where they view course material, interact with faculty and students and submit assignments online. Regent's undergraduate courses do not require students to be online on specific days or at specific hours. Test Drive An Online Course for an example of the undergraduate online program.

How often do classes meet on campus?

On Campus students attend class once a week at the Virginia Beach campus. Regent University’s on campus classes are Hybrid Courses where learning is done primarily online, including Blackboard postings and online submissions.

How do I transfer credits from another school?

Regent University accepts college-level work from other regionally accredited (i.e. ACE, ACICS, DETC, TRACS, & SACS) colleges and universities. Details are available by calling the Office of Enrollment Services at 1.888.718.1222 or by e-mailing regentundergrad@regent.edu.

Are online courses available to international students?

You can enroll with Regent University even if you are not a residing U.S. citizen. If you are an international student you will need to provide a copy of your passport, any visa information, complete our online application, and complete the Regent supplemental international application.

In addition you will need a translation and evaluation of your high school or university transcripts, and TOEFL score.

How do I get my High School Transcript?

How long will it take for my transcript to be evaluated?

Applications and transcripts are reviewed within 48 hours of our receiving them.

How do I find the Course Descriptions?

Course descriptions are available on our website and in the online catalog.

How many credits can I transfer in?

It is possible to transfer in 90 credits.

I do not understand how your semester/sessions work.

We work on a normal 16 week semester. However, we break the semester up into 2 convenient eight week sessions. This allots our students the opportunity to focus more attention to class and course work. Usually, a student takes 2 courses per eight week session.

Will I be able to pay for tuition in installments?

Yes, Regent University has a Tuition Installment Plan.

What type of Scholarships does Regent offer?

I’ve been out of school for more than 10+ years, do my college credits still transfer?

If a transcript is 10 years or older we do not automatically accept those credits. You may, though, file an academic petition to see if your credits can be transferred in.

I am a part time student, am I eligible for financial aid?

Yes, you are eligible for financial aid if you are a part time student.

What is the difference between an official and unofficial transcript?

Official transcripts are in a sealed envelope from your college or high school.
