Interdisciplinary Studies Department
The Interdisciplinary Studies Program leads to PreK-6 teacher certification in the state of Virginia upon the successful completion of all program requirements including Praxis I, Praxis II, the Virginia Communication and Literacy Assessment (VCLA) and the Virginia Reading Assessment (VRA). Courses emphasize best practices for instruction and assessment as well as preparation needed for PreK-6 students to master the Standards of Learning (SOL).
