Complete the first half of your university education with Regent University's Associate of Arts degree program. Offered on campus, online, or through a combination of both platforms, Regent's commitment to scholastic excellence and faith-based courses will foster the academic environment you need to succeed. This program emphasizes communication, analysis, critical thinking, information retrieval and worldview studies and provides the skills you need to achieve your professional and personal goals. Graduates of the Associate of Arts program complete the courses typically required in the first two years of a baccalaureate degree and may elect to transfer that credit to a four-year bachelor's program or utilize their degree to begin a new career in a variety of fields. During the Associate of Arts degree program, students will have the opportunity to:
- Show an understanding of the foundational elements of a Christian worldview by reporting growth in their understanding of the Christian faith
- Illustrate a foundational ability to apply reasoning to solve problems
- Establish at a foundational level the ability to write about an idea and defend it in a logical and organized manner
- Demonstrate ability at a foundational level to present concepts and arguments orally in organized and logical ways as effective speakers
- Share ideas and mutual support via course-related forums
- Develop quality relationships with other students, faculty, and administrators
- Demonstrate a foundational ability to select, interpret, analyze, and synthesize information
