The CAGS is a post-master's certificate for educators and is available to students who have completed a master's degree and are interested in pursuing a higher level of education. Students must fully apply to the doctoral program and receive acceptance. They will take the courses listed as part or all of the doctorate program. Students interested in this option will earn their CAGS by the completion of 30 credit hours of doctoral-level work. These CAGS courses are considered professional development for teachers and administrators, and may be used to fulfill Virginia Administration and Supervision endorsement. Requirements for endorsement or licensure are different in every state. Details are available through each state's Department of Education.
