Michael Patrick is a professional-in-residence and head of the M.A. in Journalism program at Regent University specializing in writing, editing and producing news stories across media platforms.
Professor Patrick has worked in professional news and media since 1968. He has served in several executive positions, including vice president and executive producer at the Christian Broadcasting Network and dean of Regent's School of Communication & the Arts. At Regent, he teaches courses on news theory, writing and reporting, broadcast news field reporting and producing, broadcast news program producing and foundations of journalism.
Academic Philosophy
To coach students to produce compelling stories that meet professional standards across all media platforms, with an emphasis on the integration of faith in the pursuit of truth.
