David Xu, MFA
Professor David Xu is an associate professor in the Department of Cinema-Television at Regent University specializing in 3D animation, 3D modeling, character animation and 3D special effects.
Professor Xu has served as a senior animator in Sega, Japan; a senior special effects artist in Pacific Digital Image Inc., Hollywood; and as a professor of animation in several colleges and universities. He also has been a committee member of the computer graphics organization Siggraph Electronic Theater, where he was recognized with an award for his work in 1998. His special effect production and 3D modeling credits include the movies Matrix I and Star Trek, and television commercials for 7UP and AllState. At Regent, he teaches courses on 3D animation, rigging and animation, compositing and sound for animators, character design and special effects.
To achieve an integration of relationships with the Christian faith, both in teaching and across the educational field. This objective is successfully achieved through love of the profession and of the students.
