Note: Your application to the graduate School of Communication & the Arts will be complete when you have submitted all of the above items.

Step 1: Schedule An Audition

An audition is required for those interested in the MFA in Acting
prior to beginning the admissions process. Once all auditions are completed, individuals will be selected by faculty to join the program and letters of invitation will be mailed. If you receive a letter of invitation, you may continue with Step 2. View audition dates.

Step 2: Application

Submit your application using our Regent University Online Application.

Note: If you are unable to complete our application due to a disability, please contact our Admissions Office and an admissions representative will provide reasonable accommodations to assist you in completing the application.

Step 3: Application Fee

For those invited into the MFA in Acting program the $50 application fee is waived. Invited candidates are encouraged to email comadmissions@regent.edu when the application is submitted and the admissions team will process an application fee waiver on your behalf.

Step 4: Official Transcripts

An official transcript indicating successful completion of a bachelor's degree program is required. We are excited to offer you the service of requesting transcripts on your behalf using our Transcript Request Form*. Additional transcripts may be requested on a case-by-case basis.

* Please be aware that there are certain institutions from which we cannot request transcripts, including international institutions. You will be notified if we are unable to request your transcript.

Step 5: Writing Sample

Submit electronically to an admissions counselor at comadmissions@regent.edu.

In 750-1000 words, please write an essay about yourself, including your academic, professional and spiritual journeys, and explain why you want to pursue the MFA in Acting. In your essay, discuss your personal, professional and spiritual goals. How do you think this degree will prepare you for the theatre work God has planned for you? Write in a professional manner as we will evaluate this essay as your writing sample for admission.

At the bottom of your essay please include the contact information (phone number, email and title) for two professional or educational references. These should be people who would be willing to provide our faculty with a verbal recommendation should they need to be contacted.

Step 6: Current Resume
