On-Campus Degree Overview

Are you ready to hone your God-given talents and become the Christian artist you have always wanted to be? Now is the time. The MFA in Acting brings together time-tested techniques and the latest trends in contemporary actor training. Within the degree, the general concentration allows students to choose nine credit hours of elective coursework from a diverse menu. Sample electives include improvisation, dance, advanced scene study, advanced stage combat and private voice lessons. The general concentration allows MFA acting students to tailor a portion of their degree to their individual interests.

As a student, you will be stretched and mentored through a rigorous, professional actor training program rooted in technique and hands-on experience. Throughout your education, you will have numerous performance opportunities in our Main stage and Secondstage seasons, our student lab productions, and more than 100 film projects produced by the Department of Film & Television annually.

Upon graduation, you will be prepared to pursue a career in the professional theatre, film and television industry or higher education.
