Policy for Weddings on Regent University Campus
Regent University Chapel is available for weddings of all sizes, up to a capacity of 970. For information regarding pricing of the chapel for weddings, please contact our chapel coordinator Brittany Duarte at The Founders Inn and Spa, 757.366.5814. Wedding ceremonies may be scheduled in the Regent Chapel up to nine (9) months in advance. The only space available on campus for a wedding ceremony is the Regent Chapel.
We strongly encourage bridal parties using the chapel for their wedding ceremony to consider using space at Founders Inn for their reception. Only if a wedding is scheduled at the Regent Chapel will Regent consider renting space for a reception.
The library atrium is the only space available for a reception; the group must use Founders Inn or the Regent Ordinary exclusively for catering.
Regent University is unable to accommodate wedding receptions on campus unless contracting to hold the ceremony in the chapel.
No Smoking/No Alcohol/No Drugs Policy: Regent University forbids the use of alcohol, illicit drugs, and tobacco on campus and prohibits the abuse of these substances.
Catering: You may contact Brittany Duarte at The Founders Inn and Spa at 757.366.5814, or Jennifer Gribble at the Regent Ordinary at 757.352.4924.
Dancing: As the propriety of certain types of dancing is interpreted differently by individuals, and since the volume of music may be so loud as to interrupt our students in the library, the only dancing permitted in the library atrium is ballroom style.
Regent Chapel Wedding Policy: Please see the specific wedding policy for the Regent Chapel here.
