DSL Course Map (Spring 2021 & Beyond)

DSL students must complete a total of 51 credit hours, within 7 years:

36 credit hours of core courses
9 credit hours of concentration elective courses
6 credit hours of final doctoral project courses

DSL students must attend two (2) required virtual residencies:

Residency 1 is associated with LDSL 722 (3)
Residency 2 is associated with LDSL 727 (3)

COURSE MAP: A / C / E SESSION START
	Core Courses 36 Credit Hours Students are encouraged to take the core courses in the order listed below.		Concentration Electives 9 Credit Hours
BLOCK 1	LDSL 722 (3) Students *must* begin BLOCK 1 with LDSL 722 and attend their 1st virtual residency.		Students who have completed their first residency course (LDSL 722) and have attended their first virtual residency are permitted to begin taking concentration electives. Since concentration electives are offered less frequently, students are asked to plan accordingly throughout Blocks 1, 2, and 3. The COURSE ROTATION TABLE assists in scheduling course progression and registration. DSL Concentrations Ecclesial Leadership Entrepreneurial Leadership Global Consulting Healthcare Leadership Human Resource Development Individualized Leadership Coaching Servant Leadership Strategic Foresight Strategic Leadership NOTE All courses are conducted online and are 8-weeks long, with the exception of LDSL 861-862 and a few concentration elective courses, which are conducted as full-term courses. At the beginning of the program, all students are required to take the UNIV LIB (0) or BUS 600 (2) course. Students are automatically registered for BUS 600 (2) or UNIV LIB (0) based on their admissions writing sample score. It is recommended that UNIV LIB or BUS 600 are completed prior to LDSL 722 and attending the first virtual residency.

BLOCK 2	LDSL 727 (3)* Students *must* begin BLOCK 2 with LDSL 727 and must have successfully completed LDSL 710, 718, 720, 722, 728, 732 before enrolling in LDSL 727 and attending their 2nd virtual residency. Students may register for LDSL 727 concurrently with their last BLOCK 1 course.

BLOCK 3	Final Doctoral Project Courses 6 credits
	LDSL 861 (3), LDSL 862 (3), LDSL 863 (1) Students *must* have successfully completed all core courses before being eligible to register for final doctoral project courses. Students must register for continuing doctoral project credit – LDSL 863 (1) - after completion of all required 6 doctoral project credits until successful completion of the project.
