Alternative Dispute Resolution
The Alternative Dispute Resolution Board focuses on the development of skills necessary to resolve disputes before trial. These techniques often cost only a small fraction of the trial process and also often avoid or reduce the potentially devastating relationship destruction that frequents typical courtroom resolution.
The Board is comprised of both second-and third-year law students. The Board sends teams to compete in a variety of competitions across the country and hosts an intramural negotiation competition each spring for Regent students as well as Regional ABA Competitions in Negotiation, Mediation, and Client Counseling every two or three years.
