Regent University to Offer a New Ph.D. in Government in Fall 2023
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Mar. 8, 2023) – Regent University is introducing a Ph.D. in Government in Fall 2023 that seeks to prepare students for influential careers at the highest levels of scholarship.
The program’s doctoral students will be challenged with an ambitious curriculum aimed at developing innovative research with actionable policy implications. In addition, the program offers candidates opportunities to teach, research, and publish in partnership with the department’s world-class faculty.
“This doctoral program was designed to cultivate world leaders in political science,” said the Hon. Michele Bachmann, dean of the Robertson School of Government. “The breadth of knowledge that this program provides will position our Regent scholars for ground-breaking research that enables them to drive global economic, social, and political change.”
A full-time graduate student can complete the coursework in two to three years. Graduates will be qualified for post-doctoral research, university teaching positions, as well as work in civil service, government, and politics.
