|Current Awareness Tools
The Law Library provides access to a range of current awareness resources that can help keep you informed of new articles or other publications in your area(s) of interest. Law faculty may create their own searches or request assistance from their Law Library Liaison.
Current Index to Legal Periodicals (CILP)
CILP provides topical access to approximately 475 law reviews and legal journals. CILP offers two advantages. First, it is available 4-6 days earlier than other commercial legal periodical indexes. Second, CILP provides the full table of contents of all journals indexed. You may browse the latest eight issues via Westlaw. Select the CILP database and use the LOCATE comand to find relevant articles. To print, simply cut and paste relevant citations into a Word document.
Legal Scholarship Network
The Law Library subscribes to the Legal Scholarship Network(LSN), a division of the Social Sciences Research Network. LSN publishes a wide range of law-related working papers and article drafts accepted for publication. Your Law Library Liaison can assist you in becoming a subscriber to the journal(s) in your areas of interest, after which you will receive new issues electronically.
Electronic Updates via Westlaw and LexisNexis
Electronic clipping services, offered by both LexisNexis (Eclipse) and Westlaw (Westclip), may be used to create automatically recurring searches and email notification of results. For more information about using these powerful monitoring tools, contact your Law Library Liaison.
