Acknowledgement of Program Outcomes*

By checking this box I indicate that I have read and understand the following:

Regent University’s B.A. in Law, Master of Legal Studies, and M.A. in Financial Planning and Law programs do not lead to the practice of law. These programs are designed for students seeking law-related careers that are open to non-attorneys. These programs do not qualify graduates to sit for the bar exam in any jurisdiction.

Regent University’s B.A. in Law, Master of Legal Studies, and M.A. in Financial Planning and Law programs do not provide consideration for preferred or guaranteed admission to the J.D. program. Students interested in later pursuing a J.D. must fulfill all required J.D. application requirements. Academic credit is not transferable from the B.A. in Law, Master of Legal Studies, or M.A. in Financial Planning in Law programs to the J.D. program.

Acknowledgement of Non-Licensure*

By checking this box I indicate that I have read and understand the following:

The program to which I am applying is not designed to prepare for licensure in any state. Earning this degree will not prepare graduates to sit for licensure examinations or pursue licensure or certification during or after degree conferral. This program is designed for those seeking a non-licensure career path.

Acknowledgement of Abridged Degree*

By checking this box I indicate that I have read and understand the following:

The ABAS is a 94-credit reduced-credit undergraduate degree, distinct from a traditional 120-credit bachelor’s degree. This reduced-credit undergraduate degree may not fulfill the admission or prerequisite requirements for some graduate or professional programs, and/or may not meet the expectations of some future employers. Students considering graduate study or specific career paths after completing the ABAS should independently verify admission requirements with their intended graduate program or employer. Regent University will accept the ABAS as a qualifying undergraduate degree for admission into applicable graduate programs at Regent University.

Honors College Supplements

Short Answer*

Please answer the below prompt in 300-400 words for consideration into the Honors College. The submitted response will be treated as your writing sample and evaluated for spelling, grammar, etc. as part of the admissions process. We recommend composing your response and checking it in a text editor first for refinement before pasting it in the application for submission.

There will be many opportunities to tell the Honors College faculty about your achievements. This isn’t one of them.

Every so often a person turns out to be wrong about something they were sure of. Tell us about one of yours in 300 to 400 words. What did you believe, and what was false about it? It doesn’t have to be a large belief. The small ones are often better, and we’d rather read something true than something impressive.

Then tell us where the mistake actually was. Sometimes the information is bad and you reason from it perfectly well. Other times the information is fine and the thinking is what breaks down. Which was it for you? Take us to the moment you found out. Who was there and what got said. If part of it doesn’t flatter you, leave that in.

You don’t need to tell us the lesson. Tell us instead whether you think you’d catch it next time, and how. Be honest: most people say yes. Is it true?
