Five Steps to Completing Your J.D. Program Application

1. Complete your application through the Law School Admission Council (LSAC).
2. Submit an official transcript from all post-secondary institutions you have attended.
3. Submit your LSAT scores. See testing dates and fees below.
4. Submit your letter(s) of recommendation.
5. Submit your personal statement (500 – 1,000 words).

REGENT UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW APPLICATION DEADLINES

Regent University School of Law operates on a rolling application basis with periodic reviews. Applying early is highly encouraged to maximize your chances of admission and access to scholarships. Additionally, the Priority Decision Application Deadlines fall within the timeframe for admitted students to enroll in the Early Commitment Program (ECP), which offers further benefits for those who commit to attending Regent Law. Below are the key application deadlines to keep in mind:

November 1, 2025 – Priority Decision Application Deadline 1
December 13, 2025 – Priority Decision Application Deadline 2
January 31, 2026 – Priority Decision Application Deadline 3
February 28, 2026 – Application Deadline
April 4, 2026 – Application Deadline
May 2, 2026 – Application Deadline
June 27, 2026 – Application Deadline
July 31, 2026 – Final Application Deadline

Application: To proceed with your application to Regent Law School, please visit the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) website by clicking one of the "Apply Now" buttons. LSAC provides a centralized application service that allows you to efficiently apply to multiple law schools, including Regent Law School. Application Fee: Pay a $65 nonrefundable fee by check or money order to Regent University, Enrollment Support Services, 1000 Regent University Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.

Transcripts: Send official transcripts from all attended post-secondary institutions to LSAC. If admitted before completing your bachelor’s degree, submit an official final transcript to Regent Law School before matriculating.

LSAT Scores: Take the LSAT and enroll in the Credential Assembly Service (CAS). Visit the LSAC website for test dates. Regent University hosts an LSAT Prep Course twice a year and offers information on prep resources. The committee considers the highest LSAT score but reviews all scores and applications materials when rendering a decision.

Letters of Recommendation: Submit at least one Academic Recommendation, or a General Recommendation if out of school for five years or more. A Spiritual Recommendation is encouraged. Limit recommendations to four, sent via LSAC’s LOR Service. Note: Recommenders, not the applicants, must upload the letters through LSAC’s LOR Service.

Personal Statement: Provide a 500-1,000 word essay outlining your motivation for studying law and any relevant skills or experiences.

International Applicants: Follow the International Admissions Checklist, including a TOEFL score of at least 100 or Duolingo score of 125.

TESTING DATES

You must take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and subscribe to the Credential Assembly Service (CAS).

  • January 7–10, 2026 (register by November 25, 2025)
  • February 6–7, 2026 (register by December 23, 2025)
  • February 19–21, 2026 — Puerto Rico (register by January 7, 2026)
  • April 9–11, 2026 (register by February 25, 2026)
