Regent Unveils its Master of Divinity in Biblical Literature & Languages

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Jan. 23, 2023) – Regent University is pleased to announce its new Master of Divinity in Biblical Literature & Languages—a comprehensive program that enriches linguistic and exegetical skills through an integration of biblical interpretation, theological studies, and practical ministry.

“Our world is starved by a famine of the faithful proclamation of God’s eternal Word. Nothing prepares a prospective minister of God’s Word better than a robust knowledge of the original languages in which the Bible was written and an in-depth historical, theological, and exegetical study of its inspired and inerrant texts—all material examined in our new Biblical Literature & Languages program,” said Corné J. Bekker, Dean of the School of Divinity at Regent University. “Renewal and revival of the Church and our world depend on the true knowledge and proclamation of God’s Word!”

Students enrolled in this program will gain proficiency in the grammar and syntax of the Biblical Hebrew and Greek Languages. They also enjoy invaluable study abroad in Israel. A full-time student can complete the coursework in four years.

“Regent University is persistent about offering the most innovative curriculum available to prepare our students to lead upon graduation,” said Dr. William L. Hathaway, executive vice president for Academic Affairs. “This new program is quite rewarding because of its high-level of academics, insight for ministry work, and the invaluable spiritual growth that takes place during the learning process.
