Regent Prays

Our world needs a mighty move of GOD.
Our hearts need His touch, His awakening. Will you pray?

God alone is our Anchor, our Redeemer, our Hope and Salvation.
The spiritual battles we face today can only be won by prayer. Join the Regent University community on an urgent mission to cover the world in prayer. Let’s pray fervently, asking GOD for revival in our hearts, our communities, our nation, and the world!

Ways to Pray

Let’s seek the LORD, cleansing and humbling our hearts and praying for our world.
Then, let’s take the Good News to the streets, to our work, and to our families.

Repent of any personal sin or neglect of God’s Word or His will. “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!” Psalm 139:23-24

Turn your heart to the Lord; turn from selfishness, and be refreshed. “Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19-20

Focus on the greatness and beauty of the Lord. “I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you; therefore, I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes.” Job 42:5-6

Thank the Lord for His compassion; acknowledge His goodness, kindness & strength. “As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him. For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.” Psalm 103:13-14

Humble yourself before almighty God. He alone helps and heals us and our land. “Submit yourselves therefore to God … Be wretched and mourn and weep … Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.” James 4:7, 9, 10

Join with others in corporate prayer and repentance. “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Ask God to restore and revive your love and joy in Him. “Restore us again, O God of our salvation, and put away your indignation toward us! … Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?” Psalm 85:4-6

Worship the Lord together and give Him praise. “And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put in you. And I will remove the heart of stone … and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes.” Ezekiel 36:26-27

Renew your commitment to live your life in daily communion with God. “Grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness, while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” Acts 4:29-30
