Dr. Merrill Reese completed both his M.A. in Community Counseling and his Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision at Regent University. He earned his B.S. in Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University. Through his educational and professional opportunities at Regent, Reese has experienced enhancement of clinical skills as a counselor, graduate education, development of academic instructional skills, and opportunities to teach both locally and abroad.
Reese is dedicated to the creation of a sacred space for the participant to do their work as both a counselor and an educator. His major areas of interest include compassion fatigue, grief and loss, group counseling, marital and family therapy, and the role of spirituality in counseling.
