Jonathan Hoover is the senior associate pastor at NewSpring Church in Wichita, Kansas, while also serving as a special adjunct at Regent University. A third-generation pastor, his specific research interest is clergy burnout and self-care. Hoover graduated summa cum laude from Liberty University in 2012 with a B.S. in Psychology with an emphasis in Christian Counseling. In 2017, he graduated summa cum laude from Regent University with an M.S. in General Psychology, receiving the outstanding graduate award. He is currently at the all-but-dissertation stage of completing his Ph.D. in Industrial & Organizational Psychology. He has been academically published in the Journal of Psychology and Christianity, served as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Psychology and Theology, and has been published in the Focus on the Family magazine.
Hoover is blessed by a loving and supportive family. His wife, Wendy, serves alongside him on the staff of NewSpring Church. He has two amazing daughters, Cheyenne and Summer.
