Regent University’s Marketing & PR Team Celebrates Year of Award-Winning Campaigns

Spring Semester 2017, Higher Education Marketing Report released its 32 Annual Educational Advertising Awards.

Regent University’s Marketing team earned nine awards for their submitted video, print and direct mail publications. Their work was judged by a panel of national higher education marketers and advertisers as well as Higher Education Marketing Report’s editorial board.

The “Different by Design” brochure; Regent’s School of Law Prospectus; “It Starts with You” World Changers student viewbook; and “Dawn of a New Site,” a social media video campaign announcing the launch of the university’s brand-new website, earned Gold awards in their categories.

Video interview with New York Times best-selling author and School of Communication & the Arts alumnus Charles Martin (‘01); College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) Vision Package; and the 2016-2017 Theatre Season postcards and brochure earned Silver awards.

Regent’s “Seize Your Dreams” magnet mailer and “Dream Bigger. Do Bigger” mailers earned a Merit award within their categories.

As Regent’s enrollment recently surpassed 10,000 students – the highest volume of students in the university’s history – a record number of marketing pieces went to the homes and computer screens of prospective students around the world.

Earlier this year, University Marketing was also recognized in the Collegiate Advertising Awards. Regent’s 2016-2017 Theatre Season Postcards and “Different By Design” Brochure received a Gold award; while the Theatre Season Brochure, “Seize Your Dreams” magnet mailer, CAS vision package, and the “Dawn of a New Site” social media video received a Silver award.

“Everyone, from the designers, videographers, photographers and copywriters on our team, our faculty and staff, to the alumni we feature in our videos and prospectus pieces play a large role in the work that we do,” said Vice President for University Marketing & Public Relations, Sherri Miller. “I am incredibly proud of the consistent and professional work our team produces, and we’re thrilled to play such an important and meaningful part of our university’s growth.”

The Educational Advertising Awards is celebrated as “the nation’s largest, oldest and most respected educational advertising awards in the country,” according to the organization’s website. More than 2,250 entries were submitted for recognition from the organization from more than 1,000 domestic and international colleges, universities and secondary schools.
