As a theologian, pastor, speaker, author, humanitarian, ministry consultant and coach, Dr. Daniel Gilbert is dedicated to teaching biblically-based principles to empower people to go deeper in God, grow stronger in life and go higher in their destiny.

Dr. Gilbert has been serving in ministry for over 33 years and is an ordained minister with the Presbyterian Church. He is founder and president of EmPowered Living International Ministries, a non-profit ministry to help educate, equip and empower leaders to transform communities through sound theology and humanitarian action. He also founded ELIM Theological Institute in Siaya, Kenya.

Dr. Gilbert has served as professor of theology and church history and dean of students at The King's University in Los Angeles. In addition, he has served in the pastorate for 18 years in Aberdeen, Scotland, Hampton Roads, Virginia and in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Gilbert holds a Ph.D. in Theology from The King's College of the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, and a B.Sc. in Business from Mars Hill University. He is also an alumnus of Regent University with a Master of Divinity. At Regent, he was Dr. Rodman Williams graduate assistant and was mentored by Dr. Williams for over 19 years. He did his pastoral internship in Seoul, South Korea with Dr. Yonggi Cho at Yoido Full Gospel Church.

Dr. Gilbert has been married for almost 32 years to Mary Beth, and they have a 15-year old daughter, Maria.

His book, The Big 5: Discovering the Five Foundations Every Christian Needs to Know is coming out in the Fall of 2017. Dr. Gilbert is scheduled to host the radio program "EmPowered Living Radio with Dr. Gilbert" that airs on Voice of Hope Radio - Africa.
