BFA/MFA Audition Dates and Requirements

MFA in Acting Program Auditions

The MFA in Acting degree has been modified into a sixty (60) credit hour course of study completed over a period of two-calendar years. There is a modicum of online course work required during the summer between those two years. Auditions will take place in the spring of 2024 for a cohort of actors to matriculate in the fall of 2024. For audition locations, venues, dates, and audition requirements, see below.

Southeastern Theater Conference Spring Graduate Auditions

Video auditions will be accepted until all positions have been filled. In person auditions are preferred.

Write to Dr. Michael Hill-Kirkland at michhil@regent.edu, or call 757-352-4730 if you anticipate participating in either the URTA or SETC auditions and inform him of your intentions. 

Independent Auditions

If you will NOT be participating in the URTA or SETC auditions but wish to schedule a private audition in either Philadelphia, Chicago, Mobile (on the above dates) or at Regent University’s Virginia Beach campus, contact Dr. Kirkland to pre-arrange an audition.

Video Auditions

Accepted through April 26, 2024 (In-person auditions are preferred)

All candidates should begin the application process online for whatever academic program in which they are interested.

As part of the application process, candidates should provide links to video clips of their auditions.  Regent University Admissions will forward those links to the proper faculty to review and respond.

Submissions will be accepted until Midnight, Friday, April 26.  After that, review of application and video clips is at faculty discretion.
