Congratulations! You have made it to graduation! We are excited that you have decided to join us for our Commissioning Service and look forward to meeting your families and friends.

You may be asking, “What is a Commissioning Service?” To commission someone is “to entrust or to give authority” or “to appoint or assign to a task or function.” At graduation you leave Regent with training and preparation, to go out into the world and fulfill the call God has on your life (Isaiah 61:1-3). Within the context of our graduation, Commissioning is a sacred and holy time of worship, consecration, reflection, prayer and anointing. RSG professors and staff honor the graduating class and “commission” its members. As part of the Commissioning ceremony, graduates have their hoods placed over their shoulders by the dean of the school as a mark of earning the master’s degree. It is also a time for us to recognize outstanding members of the graduating class with certain awards for scholarship, leadership, research and service.

The service was live streamed.
