What is a B.M. Degree?

A B.M. degree is a Bachelor of Music. A Bachelor of Music can prepare you to work professionally in music performance. Courses are practical and theory-based, training you to become a well-rounded conductor or performer.

What will you learn through a B.M. Degree?

One of the core foundations of music performance is music theory. Through Regent’s B.M. degree, you will learn how to read and write music for vocal or instrumental performance. Composition courses will help you learn industry-standard software for music notation. You can also expect to train your ability to sight-read and understand melodies and rhythms.

“My college career has been anything but ordinary. But after five years, two schools, two majors, a minor, and a global pandemic, I can finally say that I am a Regent graduate!”

Stephanie Clark, B.S. in Paralegal Studies, 2020

“It’s been a long road of late nights and long mornings, but I made it.”

Paola Albarran, Ph.D. in Communication, 2020 News Anchor, Telemundo Amarillo; College Teacher, West Texas A&M University

“It is neat to see people who care about excellence but aren’t haughty about it. They approach it with humility in their academics, their spiritual lives, and each other.”

Hannah Lillemo, B.A., 2020 Honors Program Graduate

“Regent University provided a firm foundation for my worldview as a Catholic Christian in a profession and field of study largely missing an understanding of metaphysical and theological truths.”

Jalyn Dio, B.S. in Biophysical Sciences, 2022 Assistant Scientist, PPD

“Thankful for all the Regent advisors who helped me through all the obstacles of graduating. Thankful for my professors who answered all of my questions and emails.”

Jennifer Anne McFadden,
