Introduction to methods of studying and interpreting Scripture, theological understanding, and practical application.

Study of the writings of the Apostle Paul. Students consider the cultural and philosophical background of each text as well as its contents and its place in the canon. The course examines the literature theologically and exegetically while inviting students to develop and consider personal applications of the texts. Prerequisite: BIBL 104 or BIBL 105.

Examines the process of lesson/sermon preparation and delivery from the biblical text with the aim of influencing an audience. Students build upon their knowledge of written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills to develop sermons and lesson plans.
Students examine the biblical and philosophical basis of personal spiritual formation and growth as well as strategies that can be used to facilitate formation and growth in church and parachurch ministry.

Exploration, assessment, and application of historical and contemporary approaches to Christian ethics, as well as an examination of the role of Scripture in processes of moral discernment.

  • All online students and graduate level on-campus students are required to email a photo of your government-issued ID to apply@regent.edu using the subject line: Government ID.
  • Please note that all items submitted as part of the application process become the property of Regent University and cannot be returned.

Step 5: Submit Your FAFSA

  • Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. Regent’s school code is 030913.
