New Year's Day Prayer Meeting Postponed

| December 31, 2012

The annual CBN and Regent University New Year's Day Prayer Meeting for employees has been postponed. Regent Chancellor Dr. M.G. "Pat" Robertson shared the message below, explaining the decision to postpone this meeting.

"I have learned that over the past several weeks a particularly virulent strain of influenza is rampaging throughout the Tidewater area. This is airborne and highly contagious. I also understand that a number of our people have been affected by this flu and, in some cases, it has resulted in pneumonia.

"I feel that gathering a large number of our people together in one place with even a few carrying the influenza virus could result in a major outbreak throughout CBN and Regent University. For this reason, I prayerfully and reluctantly am postponing the New Year's Day Prayer Meeting for a couple of weeks just prior to our Winter Telethon.

"In the meantime, please pray for members of our CBN and Regent Family and their loved ones who may be suffering from this most unpleasant contagion. Despite this bad start, we still are holding on for a glorious New Year filled with the blessings of God." Employees will gather for a time of prayer at noon on Friday, Jan. 11, at CBN's Studio Headquarters.
