Steinway & Sons Showcases Its Most Innovative Piano, The Spirio|r, at Regent University
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (March 25, 2021) – Regent University is pleased to announce that Steinway & Sons will feature its most sophisticated piano – The Spirio|r B – at Regent University from March to April 2022.

The 7-foot Steinway & Sons Spirio|r B piano was delivered to the lobby of the Communication building on March 21. Regent is the only college in Virginia to have a Spirio|r B on campus. The Spirio|r B is the world’s finest high resolution player piano and is also capable of high-resolution acoustic recording, editing, and playback. This model is a wonderfully balanced and versatile instrument, often referred to as the “perfect piano.”
During a surprise birthday celebration for Dr. M.G. “Pat” Robertson on March 23, award-winning pianist AnnaMaria Mottola – who serves as Marine Master Sergeant of “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band – performed musical selections by Chopin and a medley of hymns including Great is Thy Faithfulness, In the Garden, and Because He Lives.
“I have never heard a piano sound so beautiful in my life,” exclaimed Dr. Robertson. “What an extraordinary gift of music. I thank Steinway & Sons for sharing this marvelous instrument with us and giving our Regent students an encounter with a true masterpiece.”
