Regent University Will Host Collegiate Day of Prayer on February 25, 2021

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (February 11, 2021) – On February 25, 2021, Regent University will host the national Collegiate Day of Prayer. Thousands of campus ministries, churches and individuals will be adopting and gathering to pray for each of the 4,300-plus college campuses across the United States. The Collegiate Day of Prayer event is a united, multi-generational day of prayer for revival and awakening on college campuses in America.

“What a glorious opportunity to unite in prayer with college students across America to pray for revival,” said Dr. Gerson Moreno-Riaño, executive vice president for Academic Affairs at Regent University. “The Collegiate Day of Prayer is an opportunity for believers to stand together and pray for God’s power to revive the college campuses of our nation and to turn the hearts of many towards Him. Regent University is honored to host this national call to prayer for the spiritual awakening of our great nation and its colleges, universities, and students.”

The Collegiate Day of Prayer event will be live-streamed from the campus of Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia on Thursday, Feb. 25 from 8-10 p.m. ET. The event will include powerful praise & worship, intercessory prayer, and many renowned speakers. Over 4,000 college campuses across America will participate through live-streamed video and breakout sessions.

“A humble recognition of great need combined with great faith in Christ always awakens united prayer,” said Dr. Bob Bakke, executive producer of The Collegiate Day of Prayer and The National Day of Prayer. “Biblically and historically, united prayer has always been the means of grace to bridge the gap between a great need and a great awakening. This generation needs our unified prayers.”

“God is stirring up a movement of prayer across America that will release a great awakening and an unprecedented harvest of souls. The Collegiate Day of Prayer is one of these national movements,” said Lou Engle, founder of The Call. “More than a meeting and more than an event, the Collegiate Day of Prayer is a call to the body of Christ to stand in prayer for the college campuses of our nation and the future of the next generation.”
