Regent Law Hosts Virginia Court of Appeals

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Sept. 28, 2022) – The Virginia Court of Appeals held court in Regent University School of Law’s moot courtroom on September 26 and 27.  A three-judge panel composed of Hon. Clifford L. Athey, Hon. Dominique A. Callins, and Hon. Robert J. Humphreys heard oral arguments in twelve cases over two days.  The judges also held a question-and-answer session for students after the first day of arguments.

More than two hundred Regent Law students came to witness the proceedings.    “This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to observe excellent attorneys and judges in action,” said Brad Lingo, dean of Regent University School of Law.  “We want to train purpose-driven, practice-ready attorneys.  Experiences like this help us do that.  I’m thankful that the members of the court of appeals came and invested time here.”
