God’s Presence in Grief

A Message from Dr. William Hathaway

Dean, School of Psychology & Counseling

Choosing Light in Darkness
Finding Light and Hope in the Midst of Grief

The Regent University community extends love and support to those affected by the recent shootings in Ohio and Texas. “These tragedies continue to highlight the tragic impact of mass shooters on their direct victims and on the communities that they impact by these terrible acts,” said William Hathaway, Ph.D., dean of Regent’s School of Psychology & Counseling. “We are grateful for the first responders, who acted in an exemplary manner in these cases, according to reports. And we are praying for every mental health and pastoral care professional, and countless others, who are tirelessly at work to help restore healing and hope to the citizens of these communities.”

If you are in need of counseling support, our Psychological Services Center can point you to some options. The clinic can be reached by phone at 757.352.4488.

I also encourage you to share this video message by Dr. Daniel Holland, one of Regent’s associate professors.
