Cyber Practitioner Bootcamp Regent University in Virginia

Regent University Offers Cyber Practitioner Boot Camp – 100% Online

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (August 9, 2021) – Regent University has developed the Cyber Practitioner Boot Camp to help address the global workforce shortage within cybersecurity. This program is designed for participants of all proficiency levels to prepare for certifications that will boost their cyber credentials. Boot camp onboarding begins as early as August 23, 2021, and registration is now open.

“We did a comparative review and then designed a structure that far exceeds other boot camps in quality, affordability and flexibility,” said Cheryl Beauchamp, director of Regent’s Institute for Cybersecurity. “Every course is taught by one of Regent’s expert engineering and computer science faculty members, not third-party providers. Also, pricing is highly competitive, and participants can access their classes 100 percent online to fit their schedule.”

Practical, Accessible Cyber Boot Camp Design

The Cyber Practitioner Boot Camp at Regent consists of five bachelor’s-level courses, with many participants choosing two 3-credit courses for one eight-week session, and three 1-credit practicum courses during the next eight-week session courses (9 total credit hours). The asynchronous courses integrate curriculum and training used in Regent’s NSA/DHS designated cybersecurity degree program. Boot camp students have the unique advantage of being able to transfer course credits into a full Regent cybersecurity degree program. A master’s-level option will launch in October 2021.

This leading-edge instructional format closes the gap between cyber knowledge and hands-on skills. Participants can access the multimillion-dollar Cyber Range at Regent’s Institute for Cybersecurity to gain practice to be exam-ready, industry certified, and competitive in their careers. The Cyber Range at Regent provides a virtual and protected environment that includes simulated scenarios with realistic networks that mirror actual environments for hands-on cybersecurity-related training and professional development. Students are also part of interactive discussions on ethical cyber leadership while learning basic concepts in Linux operating system, network protocols, network security, cryptography, penetration testing, threat analysis, and incident response.

Depending on the number of classes chosen, students could be prepared for these five certifications in as little as one semester:

CompTIA Linux+

CompTIA Network+

CompTIA Security+

EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker

CompTIA CySA+
