Summer Orientation, Advising & Registration (SOAR) Session 2

Regent’s Summer Orientation, Advising & Registration (SOAR) is designed for traditional-aged freshmen (23 and younger) who plan to study on campus. Parents are encouraged to attend as well. You will connect with other students, view your potential housing arrangements, meet with Academic Advising, and get ready for the fall. If you are a traditional student transferring from another institution plan to attend Welcome Week.

SOAR highlights for students

  • Enjoy food, fun and fellowship with other students who’ll be starting in the fall semester
  • Preview a night in the Regent Commons residence halls
  • Meet with Academic Advising
  • Register for classes
  • Get your student ID

SOAR highlights for parents

  • Attend special sessions about financial aid, business office policies, residence hall living, campus security, and more
  • Gain a better understanding of campus life and culture
  • Meet with the university’s administrators
  • Learn more about the role of the university as well as the changing roles of both students and parents
