Regent University Unveils Two New Music Degrees

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (January 14, 2021) – Regent University is pleased to announce that it will launch two new state-of-the-art music degree programs on its Virginia Beach campus in Fall 2021: a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Leadership.

“Our new music programs are an exciting and important addition to our celebrated performing arts degree offerings,” said Dr. Gerson Moreno-Riaño, executive vice president for Academic Affairs at Regent University. “For those who seek a high-quality education in advanced musical training, Regent’s programs are built on excellence and will help you become a proficient musician, performer, and leader.”

The Bachelor of Music degree will offer three distinct concentrations: church music, music leadership and music performance. This program is ideal for students who wish to pursue a career in performance, directing, composition, or teaching.

The Bachelor of Arts in Music Leadership is designed for students who desire to serve as a worship leader, music director, music teacher, or lead a music ministry.

“Under the instruction of award-winning music professionals, Regent’s world-class music program will provide the finest training in music leadership, performance, music history, aural skills, and music theory,” said Dr. Peter Fraser, director of the School of Communication & the Arts.
