For the seventh time, Regent University has been ranked among The Chronicle of Higher Education’s Great Colleges to Work For®, in a report released Monday, July 20. Regent was one of 86 colleges and universities recognized in 2015.
“I believe the best way to ensure that excellent service is being provided to our students is to provide a safe, well-equipped workplace, and excellent supervision and direction to our employees,” said Martha Smith, vice president for human resources and administration. “The 2015 survey results confirm we’re doing that at Regent.”
Regent’s inclusion in the list comes as a result of input from Regent faculty and staff who responded to a survey conducted earlier this year, as well as information submitted by Regent’s Human Resources Department.
The Chronicle of Higher Education ranked Regent in the categories of Facilities, Workspace and Security, as well as Supervisor or Department Chair Relationship.
The Great Colleges to Work For® program recognizes institutions for best practices and policies in 12 categories. The survey results are based on responses from more than 40,000 administrators, faculty members and staff members at 281 institutions. This is the eighth year the publication has surveyed schools and tallied results.
