Worldview Academy Leadership Camp

DATE: July 17-22

Worldview Academy helps you discover and apply the Bible’s ancient wisdom on how to think, how to live, and how to lead. A lot of organizations talk about culture, theology, and apologetics. That’s a good thing. Still, there’s something that makes Worldview Academy unique.

The three key components of the camp experience are instruction, discipleship, and formation. You will spend hours every morning and evening with the Worldview Academy faculty, engaging with lively multimedia lectures that challenge you to think in a more profoundly biblical way. Then you’ll engage with your small group, led by a college-age staffer a few years farther down the path of faithfulness, a role model who will help you work through what you’re learning and apply it. Throughout the week, you will experience spiritual formation through daily quiet times, and you will gain real-world experience through leadership and evangelism practicums.

Worldview Academy features intense classroom time, camp-style adventure, and small group discipleship to make our week-long Leadership Camp an unforgettable life-changer for junior high and high school students.

iGovern Camp

iGovern is unlike any other summer camp you’ve heard about.

The innovators at Generation Joshua have created week-long experiences where students learn about government structure, political parties, presidential elections, and international diplomacy, by taking on roles in an elaborate simulation. Think, “White-House-meets-escape-room” vibes.

Students can attend iGovern as a member of the House or Senate, a foreign dignitary, a journalist, a member of the executive branch, or even a presidential candidate in a camp-wide election!

Outside of the simulation, they will hear from nationally-known speakers, go on exciting field trips, and be encouraged in their faith.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • iGovern is designed for students ages 14-19.
  • There are 2 iGovern camps at Regent University this summer!
  • iGovern East is July 24-30, and iGovern Statecraft is July 31-August 6. (For the ultimate iGovern experience, attend both weeks of camp back to back!)

We have seen the change in students that have been trained and empowered at iGovern camps, and we hope you will take advantage of this great opportunity for your teen. Find out more about iGovern at: www.GenJ.us/iGovern.

The folks at GenJ would love to give you more info or answer any questions you might have. You can reach them at info@generationjoshua.org, or by phone at: 540-338-8608.

DATE: July 24 – July 30

At iGovern East, you are given the opportunity to change the course of our nation, write legislation that will make our nation better, further your agenda, and pass your party’s bills. All this happens in the midst of a tumultuous presidential election in which you must raise money and rally support for your candidate (or run for president yourself!).

Meanwhile, the iGovern journalists are scrambling to set up their newspapers and get the scoop on what the politicians are up to. Of course, the journalists have their own opposition to contend with—a rival newspaper that is seeking to beat them to every story.

Outside of the simulation, students will hear from nationally-known speakers, go on exciting field trips, and be encouraged in their faith through daily chapel and worship sessions.

DATE: July 31 – August 6

At iGovern Statecraft, prepare to enter the murky waters of international politics and diplomacy. You will spend the week as an official of the Executive Branch, a world news journalist, or a foreign ambassador.

As a U.S. official, you will be entrusted with the United States foreign policy, our diplomatic, intelligence, and military resources, and a very sticky international crisis. Alternatively, you can choose to attend camp as a representative of a foreign nation. Delegations will be attending a United Nations summit where they will be tasked with competing priorities and agendas from their respective homelands. Journalists will hold all parties accountable and make sure the people are informed as to what is happening and how it impacts their lives.

During a week of highly detailed simulation and in-depth instruction, you will test current ideas, consider new approaches, and come away with a much deeper understanding of the affairs of nations. You will learn what leadership means, participate in team games, and develop lasting friendships with your fellow students and counselors.

Outside of the simulation, students will hear from nationally-known speakers, go on exciting field trips, and be encouraged in their faith through daily chapel and worship sessions.

This is iGovern Statecraft: Politics on an international stage.
