STUDY ROOM POLICY

Current Doctoral students (in good standing with the library) working on their dissertation, or other culminating project, may request the use of a study room. Study rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and are based upon availability. One application will be accepted per semester and all applications are subject to approval.

Law students are encouraged to reserve rooms in the Law Library.

  • Rooms allow up to a maximum of 50 additional circulating materials that may be checked out for use in the study room. See the Circulation Desk to check out all material.
  • Regent Library items checked out to your personal account may also be left in your study room. Please ensure that the orange charge slip filled out by a library employee at the circulation desk is visible in the item or the item will be returned to the shelf.
  • Please keep reference books and library journals on the first floor of the library.
  • Personal items should not be posted on the walls or doors. All rooms should be visible and the windows on the study room doors should remain unobstructed by coverings, papers, window-clings, or the like. Regent University Library is not responsible for any personal items left in the room.
  • Study rooms are opened periodically for cleaning and inspection. Please abide by all food, drink and noise policies that apply to the second floor. This includes ensuring that all study rooms have no visible food left in them when not in use. Any food-type items left in room must be out in a sealed container.
  • The study room should be cleared of all personal items and circulating materials by the last day your room is reserved. You will receive a reminder notice. There will be a $10.00 replacement fee charged if the key is not returned.
  • Study Room privileges are sustained at the discretion of the Head of Access Services.

Thank You for your cooperation! If you have any questions or concerns regarding your Study Room, please feel free to contact Christine Payne at (757) 352.4159 or chripa4@regent.edu
