
John Keeler, Ph.D.
Bio
Dr. Keeler holds a Ph.D. and a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College. He has taught various courses in media effects, media and culture, new communication technologies, organizational communication, marketing, advertising, journalism, management/leadership, children and the media, family communication, history of communication and in many other areas of communication, business and the arts. For many years, he served as a consultant to numerous businesses and non-profit organizations, including local churches and other Christian organizations.
He was called to Regent University/CBN many years ago, but prior to this was a full-time faculty member at three other universities and before that, worked full-time for two large corporations in the marketing and advertising fields. He grew up in various places within the state of New York, but lived for long periods in Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin before coming to Virginia Beach. He has a wonderful wife, Judy, and nine children, all but one who have left home at this point in time. He enjoys a lot of outdoor activities, sports, reading and the arts.
