Daniel Gilbert, Ph.D.

Bio

Dr. Daniel Gilbert is dedicated to teaching biblically based principles to empower people to go deeper in God, grow stronger in life and go higher in their destiny. He is a theologian, pastor, speaker, author, humanitarian, ministry consultant, and coach and has served in ministry for over 33 years.

Gilbert is an ordained minister with the Presbyterian Church. He is founder and president of EmPowered Living International Ministries, a nonprofit ministry to help educate, equip and empower leaders to transform communities through sound theology and humanitarian action. He also founded ELIM Theological Institute in Siaya, Kenya.

Gilbert has served as professor of theology and church history and dean of students at The King’s University in Los Angeles. In addition, he has served in the pastorate for 18 years in Aberdeen, Scotland; Hampton Roads, Virginia; and in Los Angeles, California. He holds a Ph.D. in Theology from The King’s College of the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, and a B.Sc. in Business from Mars Hill University. He is also an alumnus of Regent University with a Master of Divinity. At Regent, Gilbert was Dr. Rodman Williams graduate assistant and was mentored by Williams for over 19 years. He completed his pastoral internship in Seoul, South Korea with Dr. Yonggi Cho at Yoido Full Gospel Church. Gilbert and his wife Mary Beth have one daughter, Maria.
