Phillip A. Hall, MFA


A Virginia native, Phillip Hall brings to Regent University nearly 20 years of professional animation and teaching experience. He holds an MFA in Computer Animation from Miami International University of Art and Design and received a B.S. degree in Media Arts and Animation from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Phillip has served at CBN as Animation Director on Superbook and has worked as Senior Animator in Sydney, Australia on Happy Feet Two. His other credits include Hotel Transylvania, Yogi Bear 3D, Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Squeakquel and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. He also was a cinematics and facial animator on Red Dead Redemption and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.

With his students finding success at studios like Pixar, Disney, DreamWorks, Reel FX, ILM and Blizzard, Phillip has taught various character animation courses and lead many animated short film productions at The Art Institute of California – San Diego, Huntington University, The Art Institute of Virginia Beach and The University of Texas at Dallas.
