These Shining Lives by Melanie Marnich

The Radium Dial company hires women like Catherine in the 1920’s and ’30’s to paint watch faces with glow-in-the-dark paint. As they dip their brushes into the paint, little do they know they are poisoning themselves. Strange symptoms begin to appear, but the company denies the radium’s danger. Catherine and friends struggle to find adequate medical treatment and a lawyer willing to take on their case. Their friendship, courage, and perseverance inspire us to find grace for our own battles.

These Shining Lives is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. (www.dramatists.com)
