Dr. Young B. Choi has worked for Broadxent, Inc., a subsidiary of Singaporean multinational company CREATIVE Technology Ltd., as a principal engineer; Birlasoft, Inc., an Indian software consulting firm, as a senior systems analyst; and COMPAQ Computer Corporation (currently, Hewlett-Packard) in Silicon Valley, California, as a development manager.
He has also taught and researched at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, James Madison University, The University of Missouri-Kansas City, Kansas City Kansas Community College, ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute), KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), and Chonnam National University.
Choi has served as an associate technical editor of the IEEE Communications Magazine of the IEEE Communications Society since 2005, and has worked as an editorial board member of the IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials, as well as many other international journals and conferences in computer networking and telecommunications fields.
