Regent's online bachelor’s degree in English is a very versatile program that offers different kinds of English degrees depending on the concentration you choose. The online English degree program features a comprehensive study of words and how they work in writing, language and literature. Through a range of language and literature courses, you will grow in an understanding and appreciation for the good, the true and the beautiful. As you explore and interact with human nature as created by God and human experience as expressed in writing, you will better understand and articulate your Christian worldview by cultivating an ability to reason and communicate well.

There are numerous English degree career options available in today’s marketplace, and through your coursework at Regent, you will develop skills in reading, writing, and thinking—critical skills that all employers desire. At the same time, you will grow in your love and understanding of God, yourself, and the world to prepare you for a life of leadership and service. Regent University English majors will take a range of courses in British and American literature, and you may choose from 10 concentrations that will allow you to move forward to further academic pursuits or embark on a career in a variety of fields.
