Faculty Advisor to the Moot Court Board, fall 1994-Fall 2001.
Faculty overseer of the board, including: revising and amending the board's Constitution; assisting in expanding the 1L intramural moot court competition and adding and expanding the 2L/3L intramural moot court competition; judging numerous rounds of intramural competitions; selecting 44 teams that have represented Regent in interscholastic competitions; and serving as head or sole coach of 24 teams and the assistant coach of 3 teams. Of the teams I coached, 4 won their competition, 5 were finalists/finished second, and 3 were semifinalists. In addition, members of those teams won 13 oralist awards and 5 brief awards. Of the 17 teams I selected but did not coach, 1 won its competition, 3 were finalists/finished second, 4 were semifinalists, and 1 was a quarterfinalist. Members of these teams won 2 oral advocacy awards and 3 brief awards. In total, while I was faculty advisor, our moot court teams won 5 competitions, were second/finalists 8 times, were semifinalists 7 times, and were quarterfinalists once, and our students won 15 oralist and 8 brief awards.
