Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Leadership
[For currently enrolled Ph.D. and DSL students only]
Students currently enrolled in Regent University's Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership or Doctor of Strategic Leadership program may apply to obtain the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Leadership (CAGS). Offered via the Internet, this advanced graduate certificate uses an autonomous learning model that requires students to learn independently, but not alone. Our values-oriented educational perspective is based on a biblical foundation and Christian worldview, providing a substantive distinctive in this program.
The Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Leadership is for currently enrolled Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership or Doctor of Strategic Leadership students who have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours of core credits. When this criteria has been met, students must complete the Certificate Application to apply for and obtain the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies. Students are encouraged to continue their doctoral studies beyond this certificate to complete the doctoral degree, which involves an additional 30 credit hours of coursework and the successful completion of the following degree requirements (depending on the chosen program):
- Ph.D.: Comprehensive exams and a scholarly dissertation
- DSL: Integrative paper and a final doctoral project
