The Vinson Synan Renewal Studies Endowed Scholarship
For over 12 years, Dr. Vinson Synan served with distinction as dean of Regent University’s School of Divinity. Synan is a widely recognized scholar in the field of renewal studies and has made notable contributions to the study of modern church history. He has also been an active participant in the ecumenical movement for more than three decades and has reached across denominational lines to unite and energize the body of Christ. Although he has transitioned from his official role as dean, Synan continues to serve the Regent community as a renowned professor of church history and as dean emeritus.
In grateful recognition of the life and work of Dr. Synan, Regent University is proud to announce the formation of the Vinson Synan Renewal Studies Endowed Scholarship. This special scholarship will assist full-time scholars seeking a Ph.D. in Renewal Studies, a curriculum originally established by Synan as the only doctoral program of its kind.
Your support of this scholarship will help Regent University honor Dr. Synan and continue his legacy of training and inspiring theologians, scholars and church leaders who will change the world.
