Dr. Mark Jumper, Texan born and raised, is a third-generation Presbyterian minister and pastor, and a retired United States Navy chaplain with 24 years of service with the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. He and his wife have seven children. Jumper came to Regent in 2014. He prays to combine biblical faithfulness, positive Reformed theology, and Holy Spirit energy to equip students for dynamic service in all God's world.

Jumper's professional background includes regional and national leadership with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, and national leadership with the Military Chaplains Association. He served as a consultant to Coast Guard Headquarters for ministry design and media projects, and to Headquarters Marine Corps, designing and providing a Warrior Transition Program for combat veterans, about which he was invited to give Congressional testimony.

He recently trained military chaplains in Ukraine. His works-in-progress include Chaplaincy Handbooks: A Biblical, Evangelical Resource (as one of three General Editors); and Presbyterian Prophet: J. Rodman Williams, Theologian of Holy Spirit Renewal.
